Madagascar - School

Education is a luxury good

Every third child in Madagascar must work so that the family can survive. The chance of education is thus gone, as is the chance of escape from poverty and misery.

We want to give the children the opportunity to break this vicious circle.

In addition to the basic teaching content, the pupils can also take part in music lessons. This encourages creativity and brings joy.

Many families in Madagascar cannot afford to send their children to school. On the contrary, the children often contribute to the family income and have to do their bit, for example by helping in the fields or in the shop in town.

We pay the school fees, school books and school materials for around 250 children so that they have a chance of attending school. Our school was built years ago thanks to donations and the efforts of our missionary couple Forschle. It is now under the self-administration of Christian Madagascans.

After completing primary school, we continue to support talented children - with scholarships for further education through to university.
