Syria

Civil war has been raging in Syria for years. What remains are destroyed cities, homeless people and great misery. Everything is lacking; a normal life is unthinkable. Nevertheless, thousands of displaced people have returned, seeking shelter in tents and ruins.

HELP WHERE THE NEED IS GREATEST
Our mobile clinics help provide medical care for the civilian population in crisis areas. They provide primary emergency care, minor surgery and obstetrics and are frequented by thousands of patients.
BREAD AND JOBS
Our large-scale bakery in the Syrian border town of Kobane produces around 31,000 loaves of bread every day, out of seven tons of locally grown flour. The loaves are distributed to refugees and local people in need. The employees are mostly widows who lost their husbands in the fight against IS.
