A Virtual Conversation

When countries are closed off and the exchange of news is censored, people are often left with only anonymous communication via the internet. In the spring, a conversation began online between Ali and our team about Jesus Christ. From the very beginning, Ali showed a deep interest in getting to know God’s Word. He had already explored the Gospel on his own and asked thoughtful, profound questions.

During this time, he shared everything he discovered about Jesus with his wife. This sparked her interest in getting to know Christ. Ali also taught his children. Eventually, the whole family decided they wanted to follow Jesus. In prayer, they entrusted themselves to Christ.

Now, with a great hunger and thirst, the family is ready to continue their journey of faith and take the next steps in their growth. This is despite the fact that conversion in their homeland could have serious consequences: Christians suffer persecution ranging from social ostracism to imprisonment and execution.
