Disaster Relief

VENEZUELA
On June 24, 2026, two powerful earthquakes struck northeastern Venezuela. Thousands of people are still reported missing, and according to the latest figures (June 30, 2026), around 1,400 people have lost their lives. Media reports show and tell of devastating scenes, with people crying out desperately for help. On the very first day, we reached out to our partners in Brazil, who are geographically closer to the affected region. Through their support, we were able to quickly establish contact with reliable local partners on the ground. Our goal now is to support the affected areas in a targeted way – through financial assistance, practical aid, and pastoral care. We will continue to provide updates here in the blog on our progress and planned measures. (Last updated: June 30, 2026, 09:00 AM)
