The Pastor's New Shoes

Our partner in Armenia, Pastor Arman*, who fled from Iran, shares: »A while back, I felt the desire to buy myself new shoes. So I did. But I had barely left the shoe store when I ran into a man who didn't own a decent pair of shoes. Right away, Jesus laid it on my heart to give him my new shoes. I gave them to him with great joy, and he accepted them gratefully.

A few days later, I had a visit from AVC. The project coordinator had brought a big box full of clothes for my family and me. Inside was a pair of shoes!

God never leaves anyone shortchanged. In a wonderful way, he provided me with an even better and nicer pair of shoes. This experience reminded me once again: when we give generously and out of love, God is faithful and provides for us in his own, perfect way.«
